We met in the summer of 2019 at a high school party, where we quietly developed crushes on each other. From then on, we stayed in the same circles, with Carlos not so subtly keeping an eye on Isabelle until the timing was just right.

Fast forward to August 2022, when Carlos finally asked Isabelle out on their first official date to the OC Fair. One photo booth and way too much fair food later, it was clear—this was something special. Not long after, we took on a short stint of medium-distance while Carlos was in Riverside for school and football (go Tigers!), but the miles didn’t stand a chance.

Before long, Carlos made the move back to Santa Clarita and transferred to College of the Canyons. Officially for school… unofficially so he could be closer to Isabelle (everyone knew). Three years later, we’ve become best friends, life partners, and pretty much inseparable.

We can’t wait to keep choosing each other every day and are so excited to do life together—forever.
